I just received these rollers today. I have not had hot roillers for about 15 years and I decided I wanted to start using them again. My hair is shoulder length and wavy. I was concerned with the size of the rollers and how tight the curls would be. I tried these out as soon as they arrived. It took about 10 minutes for the color dot to change on the roller. The J hooks hold pretty well and are color coded to match the size of the roller. I didn’t feel that the rollers were too hot to handle while putting them in my hair. I used all but 3 of the rollers. After getting them all set, I left the rollers in for 10-15 minutes. All I can say is WOW! The curls were a little tight but once I brushed my hair out, it looked great! I’m very pleased with this purchase. If you’re looking for hot rollers, this brand is well worth the $20!!

These are super awesome and make curling your hair really easy! I straighten my wavy hair first and then put the curlers in. They heat up really fast – the instruction manual says to wait for the red light to turn white. There is a red light to indicate that it is plugged in that never turns white (i waited like an hour). There is actually a little red dot on one of the larger black curlers and you have to wait for that red dot to turn white which only takes like 2 minutes. The clamps did not crimp my hair at all, but I seen where some people were asking where you can buy the metal pins instead of using the plastic clamps and they couldn’t find it – it is on the first page of the instruction manual with what the model number is that you need and how much it costs.

I wish I’d bought these dual voltage rollers years ago to travel with! I’m amazed at how compact these are and how well they work! I have used different sets of standard electric rollers for over 20 years and have gone through many brands and styles. These compact rollers work as well as their standard sized counterparts. The curler pins keep the rollers securely in place. The rollers heat up as quickly as my full size set does and do just as good a job of curling. I was able to almost roll all my shoulder length hair using the ten rollers except for a 2 roller amount at the back neckline. Who sees that under the rest of my hair anyway? It would be better if this compact set had an “on” light indicator. Instead, you have to make sure you lightly press down on each roller to make sure it’s engaged with its contact or the rollers won’t heat up. However, it’s a small inconvenience for having such a nice small travel set. I really like the soft plastic case with the inside pocket for the pins and the Velcro flap. I have only used this compact set in the US so far so have no review regarding its functioning on non 110 current. I won’t be unhappy when my standard size roller set finally stops working as I will buy another Remington compact set for home and have lots more room in my bathroom drawer!

I hate curling my hair. I hate styling my hair. What can I say, I am super lazy when it comes to doing anything with my hair because it takes too much time (well, in my opinion). However, I wanted to curl my hair on occasions and found curling irons or wands too difficult to use. I saw a beauty bloggers video raving about heated hair rollers and decided to take the plunge. This product is FANTASTIC. I have a lot of long (mid-back length), medium thickness, wavy hair. Curling irons or wands would only keep my hair curled for a few hours at most. These heated curlers keep my hair extra curly for an entire day and into the night! They are easy to use and heat up very fast. I have found that the large and medium rollers work best for my hair and are easier to style (the small rollers make tight curls that I am not a fan of). I generally leave the rollers on for 30 or more minutes (while I put on my makeup, get dressed, and eat breakfast) then take them out before heading out the door. The rollers and pins do not leave a mark/line like other curling tools, which is a huge benefit. The compact packaging is perfect as well, because I have limited space in my 1 bedroom apartment.Pros:-compact packaging-3 different sizes of rollers-affordable-decent quality-the clips do not leave marks on your hair-heat up very fast-curls stay in for hoursCons:-be careful with your fingers, the rollers can get quite hot and you may slightly burn the tips of your fingers-they smell a bit like melted plastic the first few times you use them, but it fades (I think by the 3rd time I used them, the smell was gone)

I love these rollers. I ordered the white clips, sold with these on Amazon. These rollers get nice and hot and are easy to use. I don’t like the clips that come with the set; they didn’t hold the rollers in which maybe because my hair is shorter than it should be for these. All in all a good selection of sizes, heats up wellPros:Off/on switchShuts off after one hourHeat settings from one – low to high of 12Base doesn’t heat up which means it won’t damage the surface you use it on. The heating element is above the base, right under the roller.Cord retractsCons:Bulky, not convenient for travel-this isn’t a con for me, but want to let folks know this is not a compact unit.Clips that come with it don’t holdI recommend these rollers highly. A little more expensive than the $12.99 sets you can pick up at Wal-Mart, but the extra features are worth it.

I was expecting those little metal pin like clips, but was pleasantly surprised with the large crease free plastic clips instead. This is my second purchase of this item. I ordered it to replace a set because I had lost rollers. It appears this has not been physically redesigned since it was last packaged with the metal pins; there’s still a slot inside for storing them. None are included. But can be purchased separately if you prefer them.Warm, flocked, comfortable, they get the job done. These done give curl. But they do add smoothness and body and (this is why I use them) help get rid of that overly slept in look. The one con is that I wish the set were larger. I’d like see this in an 8 piece set. I have a lot of hair, but I think 8 rollers would be perfect, without being overly large as an appliance. So, beware that you may also wish for more rollers. It would be lovely if Conair would make these in a travel friendly housing.I paid $10, so I’d say the value was great.

I got these to use with the hot roller set I already have, a full size set still never has enough rollers for my whole head, but I didn’t need 2 full size sets either, just a few extra. Also I like the idea of having a small travel option that will fit neatly in my carry on if necessary. This is a really good deal on rollers and I’m frankly surprised at all the negative reviews. I made sure each roller was firmly clamped/snapped into place first, as you can clearly see that they have to be, plugged them in with the case zipped and gave them a decent amount of time to heat up, probably about 10 mins or so, they might have been hot before that, I didn’t check. They were just as hot as my more expensive set, all of them, and evenly heated as well. I really like the little comb along the side of the roller, its kind of cool. One thing I have noticed that caused that made people give this product a bad review is that they don’t like the clips. I agree wholeheartedy, I really dislike this type of metal holder thing myself, which is why I went out and bought a cheap set of plastic clips to hold them to my head. Some people may not want the extra “trouble”, but it isn’t really a big deal of a fix, even with the extra 3 bucks or so the clips cost me, it was cheaper than a lot of travel sets total. the clips have nothing to do with the performance of the product, the product is outstanding.

As a 60 yr. old Army Brat, I have always lived in humid climates….with hair that is” difficult to tame” – frizzes easily. I wish I had had these electric hair rollers decades ago! Ditto per another happy purchaser: Wash your hair….plug in these great electric rollers….while rollers are warming, use a hairdryer to get hair almost dry (and NO NEED to worry about how “big” your hair gets)….put in the 8 rollers (the placement of the 2 sizes of rollers doesn’t matter)….wait 10 minutes….remove rollers….THAT’S IT! You can then either run your fingers through your SMOOTH hair, for a tousled look, or gently brush your smooth, shiny, lightly-waved hair. And you can go more days between hair washing. SO much easier than using a flat iron. HIGHLY recommend :>)

I ordered these to take on a cruise (haven’t left yet, but I will update later). After three uses, here are my thoughts:1) they are super small and will be perfect for travel2) there are twelve rollers and that is not enough for me, but is probably enough for most people3) they do get hot enough, just not instantly (like it says on the box)The first time I let these curlers heat up, I thought they were broken; they just didn’t get that hot. The next time, I let them heat up for a good 15-20 minutes and they did get quite hot (not as hot as my regular Conair curlers, but hot enough). Also, you need to leave them in for a good while if you want a solid curl. All the way until the curler gets cool, is a good rule of thumb. If you really want a good set, try a thermal setting spray, like Redken’s Hot Sets 22. That will give you curl for a good long time.PROS:* Size – they are small and will be ideal in a suitcase* 12 curlers – that’s as many as you get in many full size hot roller sets* Curler size – There are four small and 8 medium curlers – no large. I like them small because I want a tight curl – this may be really undesirable for some people who want big waves. If that’s the case, just put more hair on the curler.* Price – the price is perfect for this setCONS:* they don’t heat up “instantly” – that’s just silly* I need three more rollers, but I’ll use a curling iron as well

- 8 velvet flocked rollers
- Tourmaline Ceramic
- Adds volume & smoothens medium & long hair
Finally … a FULL set of real jumbo 2″ rollers! I love these rollers. It is really hard to find an 8 roller set that is all 2″ in diameter. At 2″ diameter, the rollers are not designed to curl hair. Instead, they are designed to add body/volume and (most importantly!) smooth frizz. The rollers do a fabulous job at all of those … NOT curling, adding body and smoothing frizz. This sets heats up quickly … in a few minutes. The rollers do have the slit in the middle, which I usually don’t like (but honestly did not have an issue with on this set). Once the hair is rolled around the roller, the rollers are held in place with long claw clips. The key with getting the clip to hold the roller in place is to catch some hair underneath the roller in the clip.So happy that I finally found a full set of 2″ rollers!!
Who doesn’t want those shiny voluminous curly hair? But these should not come at the cost of parting with the beauty of your hair. You must choose the type of hot curler wisely as it should not end up ruining your hair. Also, investing in a good hot curler will make it last for decades. There are huge variations in their prices as one curler set may contain 12 curlers and the other may contain 30. There are variations in clip as well whether you want claw clip or the typical pin clip. So, consider the volume of your hair and choose accordingly.
